Caring for the Puppy

Commitment of Puppy Owner

Owning a young puppy is a big investment and commitment.

After raising nine children we see very little difference in the time and energy needed for a young growing puppy as for a young toddler . However, the effort and time you commit in the beginning will yield big returns through security , loyalty, obedience, and love of that dog back to you.

Basically if you want to receive you must give.

Puppy Classes are a great way to expose and socialize your pup in addition to learning training commands for your puppy that will make your coexistence more peaceful and fun!

Your Responsibilities as a new owner:

  • Feed your pup the highest quality of food for their diet

  • Give a supplement daily

We highly recommend the NUVET PLUS SUPPLEMENT Daily which is safe for puppies, adult dogs, and pregnant dogs

  • Offer a safe “get away” place of security in a crate or bed

  • Supply safe and mentally stimulating toys and chewing toys or bones.

  • Attend a puppy class and train simple commands daily

  • Play and walk daily

  • Take places to socialize or enrich

  • Find a great Veterinarian

  • Wait till your pup is at least a year old before neutering
